Enjoy an evening of critters, trick-or-treating, arts, crafts, music and more at the Zoo's popular Spooky Sleepover (Oct. 11, 18 and 25).
Create your very own sugar skull art at Bazaar del Mundo's annual Dias de los Muertos fest (Oct. 31-Nov. 2), at the Back From Tomboctou Gallery in Normal Heights and other county Dia de los Muertos events. Cruise for blockheads at Legoland's Brick or Treat (Oct. 4-26) celebrations or explore below the surface at Birch's Haunted Aquarium (Oct. 24-26).
Check out Halloween Family Day at the San Diego Railroad Museum (Oct. 26), or visit your local library branch for fun Halloween activities for the whole family.

PTA Movie Night Nov. 7 at 7 p.m.
The Birney PTA is hosting a Movie Night. And in keeping with the Birney Bee theme, we are showing the Bee Movie. This is a great way for families to enjoy an evening out. Admission is FREE. So bring the kids, bring your blankets and have fun.
The PTA will be selling concessions. The movie will start at 7:15 in the Auditorium

3rd Annual Star Gazing Party
The San Diego Astronomy Association will be on our playground - Friday night, October 17th, from 6:30-8:30 pm. Everyone is welcome. If you have a telescope at home, bring it!
Jupiter will be visible and we will be able to see the equatorial bands and 4 of its moons. We will see star clusters, the Ring of Nebula, and the famous Double-Double Star in Vega.
Don't Miss it!
The PTA will be handing out popcorn and lemonade and a special little treat.
