Here is a list of supplies your Kindergartener will need for the first week of school. We hope that by giving you this list early, you will be able to take advantage of the many Back To School sales.Any donations of supplies to your child's specific classrooms will be greatly appreciated!

- 1 black and white composition book (100 pages/cardboard cover)
- 2 pocket file folder (plain solid color, no brads)
- 1 pkg. primary crayons (16 count, the large crayons)
- Extra glue bottles
- Extra composition books

- Extra crayons
- hand sanitizer
- hand soap with pump
- white copy paper
- assorted colored copy paper
- cleaning wipes
- tissue
- ziplock bags (gallon size)
- scotch tape
- post its (all sizes)

When is the kindergarten orientation for the upcoming school year (2011-2012)?
Kinder Orientation for the 2011-12 school year is Friday, September 2 from 2:30-3:30, beginning in the auditorium. Classroom assignments will be announced at the orientation.
Class lists for grades 1-5 will be posted in the office windows by 5:00 p.m. at the latest on September 2.
Does anyone know where to find the 16 count of the large crayons? All I can find are the 24 count.

Does anyone know if rolling bookbags are allowed at Birney? My thought is no, but I was wondering if anyone knew? I called they office and they are closed until the end of August.
I have seen children with them and I don't think there are any rules against them. I will check for you.
Official word on rolling back packs is they are OK.
